Have you ever gone through a challenging time in your life and felt like you were close to losing your faith? You're not alone. Many people find themselves in this situation. Our guest today, Frank, is one of them. He went through a complete transformation of healing.
Frank shares his story of when he hit a hard time, but was determined not to lose his faith in God. He began to pray every day, rather than just praying when he felt like it was needed. For him, it made all the difference. Frank also tells us how practicing gratitude played a big part in waking up to his Spirituality. Towards the end of the episode, Frank tells of a time that his daughter was in a car accident and how it was an absolute miracle that she survived.

It's hard to believe we are already on week four of our healing series with Sensei Alex Kakuyo. Sensei Alex Kakuyo is a Buddhist teacher and breathwork facilitator. A former Marine, he served in both Iraq and Afghanistan before finding the Dharma through a series of happy accidents. Sensei Alex holds a B.A. in philosophy from Wabash College, and he is the author of Perfectly Ordinary: Buddhist Teachings for Everyday Life.
Today we are diving into techniques for staying grounded in love and forgiveness. Sensei Alex begins with a beautiful teaching from his book. Then we dive into the idea of focusing on living your life as opposed to constantly getting stuck in finishing work and solving problems.
We look at accepting imperfections, understanding how we react to challenges, and Sensei even gives strategies that you can use to break the cycle of negative thoughts. We are on part three of our healing series with Sensei Alex Kakuyo!
